Huntleya cerina Lindl. & Paxton, Paxt. Fl. Gard. 3: 62, f. 263. 1852.
TYPE: [Panama]. It was found in Veragua, by Mr . Warczewicz, on the Chiriqui Volcano, at 8000 feet above the level of the sea, and was sold by auction by Mr. Stevens sometime in 1851. Mr. Rucker has been the first to flower it, J. Warscewicz s.n. (holotype, K).
